Buddies

Each year, our new prep students are matched with a year 5/6 student who will offer them friendship, care and support during their first year of school.

Our junior & senior teachers plan special opportunities for the prep and year 5/6 buddies to get to know each other well. 

Our Buddy Program provides children with opportunities to engage in a variety of meaningful experiences, including arts and crafts, outdoor play, and collaborative classroom activities. The program encourages children to learn about one another, develop positive social connections, and build confidence within a supportive environment. Through shared experiences and guided interactions, younger children are able to form strong and respectful relationships with senior students, fostering a sense of belonging, teamwork, and community across the school.
